Have you been called to be a Registered Nurse (RN)? Carey’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program allows undergraduate students to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing that will prepare them to become registered nurses with enhanced critical thinking and assessment training. Upon completion of this program, you will be qualified to begin working as a Registered Nurse upon graduating from the program AND successfully passing the NCLEX-RN.

$480.00 per trimester hour (plus additional $15 per credit hour fee for online/hybrid courses and additional $75 per credit hour fee for lab/clinical courses)

This program may be completed in 6 trimesters (18 months).
Delivery Method
This program is only available in an in-person format due to lab, clinical, and preceptorship hours required for degree completion. However, there are a few required courses in the curriculum and a few electives that are delivered in an online or hybrid format. In-person courses are offered at all three William Carey locations.
Applicant Prerequisites & Requirements
Before beginning nursing program, Prospective Students must meet the following admission critera:
• Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on the courses that count toward the BSN degree (including repeated courses)
• Minimum composite score of 67 on the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) preadmission exam
• Any student with two failures (D or F) in the same or a combination of science courses is not eligible for admission unless they meet the minimum required score on the ATI TEAS examination (see pre-licensure BSN admission information) and score at or above the BSN program mean on the science subscore of the ATI TEAS exam. This rule pertains to BIO 234, BIO 235, BIO 260, CHE 101, and HEA 240.
• Students must complete all prerequisite courses and all but nine hours of university core requirements prior to entering the nursing program.
NOTE: William Carey University may grant admission to students considered at-risk, not to exceed 10% of the current class enrollment, provided there are seats available in the current admission cycle. Students admitted who are considered at-risk will be required to participate in the Student Success Track of the nursing program. At- risk students must meet the program policies and graduation requirements for progression.Career Outlooks
