This program may be completed in 6 terms (18 months) on a full-time plan of study or 8 terms (24 months) on a part-time plan of study.
Delivery Method
This program is delivered in a 100% online format, plus preceptorship performed in student’s local area in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Applicant Prerequisites & Requirements
Prospective Students must meet the following admission criteria:

• Must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
• Submit transcripts from all higher education institutions attended
• Submit a statement of professional goals
• Submit a current resume
• Have an overall GPA of 3.0 or a GPA of 2.5 on the last 30 undergraduate hours
• Submit two letters of recommendation
• Hold a current unencumbered RN license
• Clear healthcare provider criminal background check through the Mississippi Department of Health or equivalent
Career Outlooks
Graduates will be prepared to assume faculty roles in nursing education at the pre-licensure program levels (LPN, ADN, or BSN) or roles in staff development in healthcare settings.
